The Dispersion Locked Memory Mode for Magnetic Films
نویسنده
چکیده
In the usual thin film magnetic memory, that which utilizes the two stable easy direction magnetization states for storage, inverted films ( H , > H r ) are often used to reduce disturb sensitivity. In general, inverted films exhibit a high angular dispersion and an open hard direction hysteresis loop with considerable remanence. Middelhoek has attributed this high remanence to the large number of NBel walls formed after the application of a hard direction field exceeding the anisotropy field. The stable state resulting from this “dispersion locking” finds utility as a storage state and is the subject treated here. This paper describes an orthogonal storage mode which could form the basis for a word-organized high-speed memory using unipolar drivers. Test programs and the results obtained therefrom are illustrated to show the useful operating range in a typical film. The total absence of “creep” and the unipolar digit current input to the device are seen to be features of this dispersion locked mode.

In this paper, by using a quantum hydrodynamic plasma model which incorporates the important quantum statistical pressure and electron diffraction force, we present the corrected plasmon dispersion relation for graphene which includes a k quantum term arising from the collective electron density wave interference effects (which is integer and constant and k is wave vector). متن کاملSpin waves in disordered magnetic systems
Long-wavelength spin waves in disordered magnetic systems have been investigated. In the framework of the Heisenberg model with magnetic dipole and exchange interactions between spins it is found that an additional longitudinal spin wave mode appears. This mode is characterized by variations of the value of the magnetic moment density. In order to analyse influence of the magnetic disorder on s...
متن کاملMode-locked oscillators in the positive and negative dispersion regimes: scenarios of destabilization
We analyze the influence of spectrally modulated dispersion and loss on the stability of mode-locked oscillators. In the negative dispersion regime, a soliton oscillator can be stabilized in a close proximity to zero-dispersion wavelength, when spectral modulation of dispersion and loss are strong and weak, respectively. If the dispersion is close to zero but positive, we observe chaotic mode-l...
متن کاملPassive mode locking of ytterbium- and erbium-doped all-fiber lasers using graphene oxide saturable absorbers.
Broadband graphene oxide/PVA films were used as saturable absorbers (SAs) for mode locking erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) and ytterbium-doped fiber laser (YDFL) at 1.06 μm and 1.55 μm. They provide modulation depths of 3.15% and 6.2% for EDFL and YDFL, respectively. Stable self-starting mode-locked pulses are obtained for both lasers, confirming that the graphene oxide is cost-effective. We ha...
متن کاملDynamics of a Dispersion-Managed Passively Mode-Locked Er-Doped Fiber Laser Using Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes
We investigated the dynamics of a dispersion-managed, passively mode-locked, ultrashort-pulse, Er-doped fiber laser using a single-wall carbon nanotube (SWNT) device. A numerical model was constructed for analysis of the SWNT fiber laser. The initial process of passive mode-locking, the characteristics of the output pulse, and the dynamics inside the cavity were investigated numerically for sol...
